In order to serve our members in Québec even better and more effectively, SOCAN has promoted of Étienne Cyr to the role of Account Executive (AE), Team Lead, with a focus on supervising and supporting the team of AEs in Montréal, while David Charest has been promoted to Senior Account Executive.
In his new position, Cyr will play a crucial role in optimizing member services, and prioritizing and tracking member requests to enhance response times. He’ll lead a focused team of Montréal Account Executives, working collaboratively to provide dedicated support for our Francophone members.
Charest, in his new role as Senior Account Executive, will continue to mentor new colleagues joining SOCAN, and assist with their training sessions, so that they’re able to better serve our Francophone members.
In his previous role as a SOCAN Publisher Account Executive, Charest honed his skills and knowledge of the music publisher ecosystem in Québec, and co-hosted the annual SOCAN Francophone publisher meetings in Montréal, while actively helping to solve incoming Québec-based member concerns.
